Last minute Summer Clothing Haul!

Fall seems to be creeping around the corner faster and faster every day.. which can only mean one thing... SUMMER SALES!

I will be headed to California for my Honey Moon and realized I desperately needed some beach clothes! So I hit the mall, I first stopped in Zumies because I really like some of their styles and if you know where to look you can find some great deals. Sure enough I found these super cute Swim Suite Pieces for 60% off! The Blue top piece was originally $24.95 and I got it for $12.00, the Maroon Bottoms were originally $19.95 and I got them for $10.00! I am definitely one to shop for bargains because I really dont feel like spending 30$ on a swim suite if im only going to wear it for a year or let it get worn out. Firm believe of sales! I also got these cute design leggings which were $17.95 and I got them for $7.00. If you shop smart and know when to buy clothing you can get some crazy sweet deals. Now I know since fall is coming you really arent buying swim suites unless its warm where you are at. So maybe you just need the excuse of taking a mini vacation to the beach and BAMB! Theres your new swim suite clothing excuse! I would head to Zumies now to see all of their special for back to school and summer sales before they are gone!

The next place I went today was Ross. It is definitely a hit or miss store in my opinion. Some you walk in and find fantastic things, other times not so much. They definitely do follow the current style but I always double check clothing for rips or stains. I found these super cute Tan Heels today for my floral maxi dress I bought. These shoes are definitely in style now and can go with literally anything! I did grab these shoes for $34.00 but they are normally around $45-$60 depending on where you shop so definitely still a great deal! If you look close enough you can also find designer clothing at Ross and some of the best deals on the planet. Its definitely my go to store when I want a variety of style, and or if I am on a budget! (Ill also include a picture of my floral dress so you can see what it looks like with the shoes)

I definitely recommend hitting the stores now even if its packed, because these sales are HUGE and the next time you will see them wont be this good until Black Friday! Which I will also be doing a Black Friday Post as well!

Pine Valley / County Fair trips! SNEAK PEEK ON PHOTOSHOOT?????

I decided to update you guys on a few adventures I have been on in the past few weeks and since these were both pretty small I decided to combined both trips. :)

PineValley Trip

If you are from Southern Utah one of your favorite places aside from Zions National Park is probably PineValley. This place is literally my entire childhood, I grew up camping here with my best friend and family all my life. I find if I can visit places like this every once in awhile I can relieve some stress and just think. Nature has always been my peaceful place and PineValley definitely hits the spot for me. With its beautiful forest, running river, and lake there is always adventures to seek out. Duncan and I decided to take a day off from wedding planning and left the technology world for a bit and I got to show him where I grew up at. We had such a fun time walking through the forest and just enjoying the peacefulness of it all. If you are every traveling through Southern Utah, make the stop in PineValley. Even if you dont go into the forest part there is a beautiful little town with some amazing historic sites to see.

County Fair

Yes I will start off by admitting that our County Fair isnt all that huge.... But its still great for us! This year our county fair was brought up with a live monkey show, and trampoline preformances! We always have monster truck shows and animal stock shows so there really is something for everyone. Though im not into all the shows I am definitely there for the rides! Everyone knows some of the scariest rides in the worlds are the old ones you find at county fairs. Definitely gotta admit some scared the life out of me and I thought we werent going to make it back to the ground but it was still amazing! I love the county fair because its fun to just let go for a night and let all your adrenaline out until you are literally sick, or exhausted. For those who arent adrenaline junkies theres games, stock shows, booths, and craft shows so nobody is bored. Our county fair runs the first week of August and this year we were treated to a crazy lightning show as well. If you are ever here in early August look up the Washington County Fair and come join us for some crazy fun!

SNEAK PEEK.. KIND OF...

So the last thing I wanted to talk about was the photoshoot Duncan and I were recently in. Southern Utah is known for its wedding photography and you literally cant get enough of it. We have some of the most spectacular nature settings in the world down here! As funny as this is we shot this photoshoot in PineValley! It was as you guessed a Wedding Photoshoot, but not in my wedding dress! I will have a photoshoot of that coming in the future. While almost falling off giant tree logs, and stepping on snakes this was an amazing photoshoot to be apart of! Although I cannot post any photos yet until full rights are given :/ I will put the photographers InstaGram below so you can go check out their work and see some sneak peeks of Duncans and I's Shoot!

Date Night Restraunt Review!

Hey Everyone! Sorry its been so long! Ive been wedding planning so much lately that I just have put my blog aside for a bit but since I will be getting married next week I will start posting again!
I realized I havent done many reviews so that's what my next few post are going to be about.

A few nights ago I had a mini date night with my mom and we were searching for a good place to eat that wasn't to expensive but not to cheap either. We ended up finding Pizzeria Limone and let me tell you.. IT WAS FANTASTIC! You basically get to create you own pizza which comes in a good size for a great price, they have fancy oils and cheeses which I thought really brought out that Italian feel to the restaurant. Its not super fancy either so you dont feel like you have to dress up. For a first impression I thought it was fantastic and I am a pretty critical person when it comes to food. Not only was the food great but the service was amazing as well. Its always a better night when your service is great! I ate at the Pizzeria Limone in St George UT but others can be found in Vegas and many other places. If you are looking for a fun little lunch or dinner date this place is definitely a MUST TRY. If you are stopping through Utah and need a good lunch this is your place as well. Great place, great service, and great food! It doesnt get better then that!

First impressions review on Ulta Products!

I posted about this awhile ago wanting to do a first impression on some new shampoo and conditioner I recently purchased but I realized it would be better if I waited a few weeks and actually tried to product out a bit.

I am always in search of good products for my hair and one big thing that I have been lacking on is a good shampoo and conditioner. Since I am coloring my hair every so often I wanted a product that would keep my hair healthy and also keep the color in. Now I have learned that unless a shampoo has the direct color infused in it, you will not find a shampoo that keeps your hair color perfect. Many shampoos prevent it from fading faster, and keep the color looking shiny and nice even when it fades. There are shampoos with some pigment in them but if you are interested in those you have to make sure it has the color you want. If you pick an off color then every time you wash your hair the color will change a bit. Kind of like purple shampoo, you use that stuff and bam! Instant purple or white hair! Here's what I found that has helped improve my hair texture and color.

1. Matrix Total Results Color Obsessed Shampoo
For starters, this smells AMAZING! You open the bottle and are instantly hit with grape smelling shampoo. I love how strong this shampoo is because when i get out of the shower I can smell the grape for at least a day after. This shampoo does not bubble up a ton which is nice so it is not drying out my hair, and the color of the actual shampoo is white so there is no dye in the bottle. It only takes a little bit in my hand to use for my hair which is also a big deal for me. Im always a little nervous with hair products because I never know how my hair will react but I really enjoyed this shampoo. You can purchase this item at Ulta, or online Ulta, other hair salons. I got this product during a Matrix sale so it made the deal even better for me, plus I love the Matrix line itself. I use Matrix color on my hair and always am happy with the results. Id recommend this for darker colored hair for sure. This product is normally around 10-30$ at Ulta and will change depending on store.

2. Matrix Biolage color last Conditioner/Revitalisant

First impressions for this conditioner were just as great as the shampoo. They are two different color lines but I find that mixing these two lines helps just as much as sticking with one. The smell is more of a flower blossom hint and isnt as strong. Not my favorite but the way my hair feels is amazing. It also does not take a lot of product to fill your hair and leaves it soft and shiny. I find even when my hair is at its worst in damage the Matrix Line has such a good effect on it. I also purchased this at Ulta on sale but its averaged around 25-30$ Definitely worth the investment

3. Matrix Biolage Color Last Mask
You cant end a great hair treatment without a good mask. I have found that most hair mask act similar to leaving conditioner in for a long time so I havent quite found one that amazes me yet but this mask is still very good. It definitely works best when your hair is just damp and when you are able to leave it in for a long period of time. I have yet to sleep over night with it in my hair yet but I can definitely do that and let you guys know how that goes. Its great for right after I color my hair and I just soak in it for a good 10-20 minutes in a steaming shower. Always rinse with cool water even after a mask because it will close your hair cuticle and keep the color in longer. I know its hard to stand in cold water but if it keeps your hair healthy you can be strong for a good 2 minutes of rinsing. I purchased this at Ulta on sale and it is usually around 25-35$

I really would refer people to Matrix, their products have usually had a good reaction to my hair and I hope you guys take the time to try it. I know its simple to go Walmart and buy some cheap shampoo that feels good at first but most of the time its super harsh on your hair in the future and will dry it out completely. If you have the extra money go invest in some good shampoo and conditioner, the Matrix line has many other products that fit for every type of hair so dont feel left out! Just go check it out!

TIP OF THE WEEK( If your shampoo bubbles up a lot when you are scrubbing your hair it has a ton of sulfate in it; sulfates main purpose is to dry things out so at first it feels great till you have to use it every day because you are just adding build up on your scalp! Gross! Watch what products you use on your hair and experiment to see what has the best results for you.)

My Salt Lake Trip!

Hey everybody! So so sorry for the little posting lately, Ive been out of town these past few days and to makeup up for my absence I have 4 blog post coming up tonight and tomorrow! This post is an over view of my entire trip so lets not wait around and get started!

I took a trip up north for a wedding shower with my fiances family; I was super excited to get a break from work and school so this trip was well needed. The drive up is always extensive but I usually sleep so its ok. Some tips I would recommend on a long drive are to bring a book, headphones, music, pillow, and blanket. If im tired I can sleep for at least 4 hours in a car and if im just bored ill read a book or listen to music and day dream. Sounds silly yes but no ones ever to young to dream about your future. (Sorry the video is sideways!)

So after the long drive we checked into our hotel in Woods Cross Salt Lake. We stayed at the Hampton Inn which I HIGHLY recommend! We really enjoyed our stay and I will go into more detail about the hotel in my next review post. So after getting to the hotel we rushed to get ready for the wedding shower and my nerves now kicked in. Why? I honestly dont know haha, I just didnt know what to expect really and my mom was meeting my fiances side of the family for the first time. Turns out the wedding shower was absolutely amazing and I love his family so much. We had such a great time with crazy games and fun pictures which I will also talk about in a Bridal Shower post later on. Ive learned how important it is to spend time with family, they really create the best atmosphere and teach you a lot about life. After a fun evening of gifts and laughs we headed back to the hotel to get some sleep before the next day.

Day 2 of the trip was definitely a rush. By rush I mean Lagoon rush, such a fun place! We expected it to be a bit busy because it was the first day of July but the longest line we actually waited in was like 20 min because it had a complication. So it was actually a really nice day to spend at Lagoon. We started the day off with their newest ride Cannibal. BEST RIDE THERE! Ill go into detail later but if you are a roller coaster junky its the ride for you. I took my fiance on the giant swing that you fly down from and he definitely faced two of his biggest fears but it was totally worth it. After 7 hours and one last go at Cannibal Duncan and I finished the day with a GIANT Funnel cake! Best thing ever made! After that we all headed in for the night completely exhausted but satisfied.

Day 3 Last day of our trip! We actually were going to end on day 2 but my little sister was a bit sick :( so we stayed an extra day so she could rest. We headed out and stopped at Temple Square in the heart of Salt Lake City to end the day. This was my favorite part of the trip. Seeing the Salt Lake Temple and all the neat places around it was Amazing! The history is awesome and is definitely a beautiful sight to see. Even if you arent LDS or dont know about the religion I would definitely recommend visiting here. Its history is fascinating and there is so much to see. If you are a history junky this will definitly be your happy place. I only got a short view today so I definitely want to go back and spend a few days there touring the entire area and showing you guys the beauty of it all. After this final stop we all packed up to head home. We met some friends half way from California and had frosty's and caught up on life. Before we knew it we were home and happy to sleep in our own beds. Such an amazing trip this weekend and ill definitely go into more detail about some of the hot spots in my next few post so dont leave me hanging yet.

Sorry for the longer post this time but I just couldnt leave you guys hanging without the fun details. I do have some more cosmetic tips coming up as well so you guys have a good mix of things to read! Stay Tuned!

Makeup Makeup Makeup!

So its been awhile since I have posted some of my work on my makeup blog. I figured since it is a MAKEUP blog I should be posting a little more of what I do for you guys to see. So here are some looks that I have done in the past few months. I do have another blog that I am no longer using but is still up, so I think I will just convert all those photos to this blog so you guys can see everything from one easy place.

This skull look was one I was just recently playing around with. I plan on making this much more detailed and super neat! But for now this was just a fun test of color and new cosmetic products I was trying out.

This was one I saw on Pinterest and just had to replicate it with a twist of my own color.  I started with black and white and added the red to pop the look out a little more. My amazing model was super nervous at first but was quickly excited to see that makeup wasnt just for girls to be pretty! haha I had an awesome time creating this look and it only took 20 minutes!

So this last picture has three people in it and the two girls on the right and the left were my work. This is some of my current and most favorite work to do. I am LOVING the skin toned skull faces. Ive been teaching some classes on how to recreate these looks because they really are so simple but so jaw dropping to people.

Why Should I Stop Drinking Soda?

For some people this may be a simple habit to break, for others it really may be a challenge. Soda is something that almost reaches every part of the earth for people these days. For some, it is a delicacy, for others its their morning ritual before starting their day. Whether it gets you going or is your treat for the day how good is it really for your body? Most of us know but just deny the thought that it really is super unhealthy for you. Yes the sugar can make it bad but the effects it has on you long term are much worse. How so? Here are some facts that may change the way you see soda, or help you get that motivation to slow down and even stop your intake of the stuff.
(All facts original places will be linked below each fact!)

FACTS:

1. Dehydration
Because of the caffeine and sodium in soda this causes the body to become dehydrated and lack water over time. This had led many to chronic dehydration without even having to be in the sun! How do you know your dehydrated? The first time you feel like you need water means you are already dehydrated and your body is craving it. Some people can drink way more water then others especially if they have a faster metabolism. Dont let Soda slow you down! Stay hydrated with water instead!
http://wellnessmama.com/379/reasons-to-avoid-soda/

2. Weight Gainer!
There are two different types of sugar, fructose and glucose. Soda contains fructose which unfortunately does not process through the body the same way as glucose does. The brain is supposed to regulate the sugar intake in the body but when you drink soda there is enough fructose in the drink that it doesnt process in the brain and only adds extra unneeded sugar to the body.  In a study 17% of people to drank soda while dieting gained 17 more calories every time instead of losing any actual weight! Dont be that 17%! Lower your soda intake!
https://authoritynutrition.com/13-ways-sugary-soda-is-bad-for-you/

3. Long Term Effects
Soda has many long term effects that even the healthiest people can obtain. The top two effects are Diabetes, and Heart attacks. These two conditions are both obtained from too much sugars or added fats to your body. Over time your liver will also begin to weaken because it cannot process the unneeded sugars and cornstarch which will lead to a weaker immune system.

The long term effects are so serious but we tend to forget that because soda seems like such an innocent thing. Now if you like to drink it and dont prefer to stop there is no judgment there, but here are the facts about it. If you are trying to break the habit or just reduce how much soda you contain make this your drive to stop. I stopped drinking soda recently and it definitely wasnt an easy call but I cannot describe how great my body already feels even after a short time! Its worth the cravings, and withdraw headaches because nothing is greater then feeling great and knowing you are trying to be just a tad healthier.

Summer Detox Drink!

Ive been excited to blog about this for a while but was definitely surprised at the result I got from this. summer time is full of many things, laying out, being in the water, and getting that summer body. One great way to get started on your healthier body is to detox it first. There are literally hundreds of detoxes you can try in the world so dont just stop at the first one you see. This detox is a very natural one so it really is just helping you cleanse your body with lots of water and getting rid of unneeded sugars. We call these Mason Jar Detox Drinks! Fruity drink mixes that also look so cute! This is a very short detox unless you plan on doing it for more then one day and if you are a fruity person who likes a little flavor to your water then this is an awesome thing for you. If you are trying to get off soda like me I highly recommend this for a change in your taste buds! Here is how I did it :)

Products You Will Need:

1. At least 3  (16oz) Mason Jars (or more if you want to do more then one day)
2. Pineapple
3. Strawberries
4. Lemons
5. Limes
6. Fresh Mint
7. Blue Berries
8. Raspberries
9. Water
10. Fridge
And any other fruit you like, I Picked these top ones that are used most frequently.

Directions:
Take two fruits of your choice at a time and slice them up into pieces.
Place a few of these pieces in on or more of your jars
Cut up 4 more fruits for two different jars and place the pieces in the jars
Fill Jars with 8oz of water
Refrigerate overnight
Drink one for every meal or three different jars three times a day!

Very simple recipe but from my experience doing this when placing lemon, limes, or anything that may have a sour taste in a jar only place 1 or 2 pieces! My friend and I made that mistake of putting 3 or 4 pieces of lemons and limes and the water was too sour to drink! I would mix lemons or limes with strawberries or black berries to even out the sweet and sour. Also when putting mint in only put 1 piece! Mint is SUPER strong and unless you absolutely love it, I promise you will regret it!

Here is a pic of where me and my friend spent the day drinking our fruit water! It was amazing!

I hope you liked this detox post because I really enjoyed trying it! If you have any fun summer detoxes or routines let me know! More summer routines to come!

Summer Time Swim Wear!

Now that it is the warmest time of the year a new trend begins to appear; Swim Wear! One of my favorite things about summer is all the cute summer clothes and the swim suits! Whether its one piece, tankini, or bikini its always fun to see whats in fashion or whats coming back into fashion. This post is on some of the newest trending swim suites you can find this year and the pros and cons to them.
The big question? Where can you find these amazing suites? I found mine at Target, you can also find them on Etsy, Walmart, Holister, Zumes, and many other swimwear and clothing stores.

High Neck Bikini Top

This trend can not only be found in swimwear but also in crop tops, t-shirts, and even dresses. This new and upcoming fashion is spreading quickly and is found in a few different fashions such as the bikini, tankini, and even in some one piece swim wear.
Pros: Even for a bikini it comes off as a more modest piece unless see through. These tops can be also used as crop tops for the current fashion.
cons: You may find yourself with an odd tan line, but its still super cute!

High Waisted Bikinis

This is definitely a fashion we have seen in the past. This fashion was often used for the plus size view that made a huge statement and made the plus size the new hit thing. Soon after designers realized it couldnt just reach that far and now it is a fashion for anyone to find. Definitely another style that covers up more but has a high fashion statement and such cute designs. You can even find the high waisted swimwear in shorts, and pants, so a fit for literally anyone! How fantastic is that?!
Pros: high in fashion, modest, many fun trends
Cons: If you like that super bikini look you might find this style almost towards a one piece and it has higher tan lines.

Open Top One Piece

Now these swimwear piece are something to talk about. Want something modest but with a little edge or class? These one pieces are definitely for you. With its nice one piece look, designers have added lace, and open tops (ripped look), or deep sweet heart to add a little vintage sweetness. You will usually find the ripped top tied in with the high neck for an edgier or sexier look. For a more vintage and dainty look you will find more of the deep v-neck swim pieces with lace and floral designs.
Pros: Very modest but also keeps the edgy and classy look. Great for the ocean! Id recommend this to young girls who want that classy look without having to get tiny bikinis to think they look nice. This look makes them feel classy and show off their body in a modest and beautiful way.
Cons: If you looking for that nice stomache tan this might not be the way to go.

Holy One Piece

The reason for the name holy is because these on pieces are literally designed with holes, and rips. Though you still get that one piece it also allows you to have that two piece designer, sexier look or more revealing look to it. Very high in fashion right now and is also starting to appear in clothing.
Pros: One piece and different styles show off the body in different ways
Cons: Can be very revealing for those more reserved, and crazy tan lines!

Summer Hair Care

Ok everyone so its officially summer time for me and that means summer time hair care! Summer is different for everyone so every ones routines will be different but here is how I try and keep my hair healthy and restored.

Before I jump in to my tips I want to start by talking about my hair type in general. In 90% of my photos my hair is usually straight and thats because its just easier to handle but in reality I have ringlet curly hair. It is a blessing and a curse to me, but I have learned to handle it over the years. Since my hair is naturally curly it is naturally more dry and brittle and doesnt grow nearly as fast. (Definitely the down side to curly hair.) Knowing your hair type is so important because you can learn new ways to help your hair grow, look healthier, and feel softer. Heres how I work to achieve that.

1. Dying Hair
I find myself in the water so much in the summer time that dying it really just isnt worth it, so in the summer time I stay clear away from hair dye. Yes this is really hard for me because I love having my hair dark and I hate regrowth but its totally worth it I promise. If you do decided to keep dying or lightening your hair in the summer time please make sure to do deep condition treatments on it to keep the roots of your hair from being fried.

2. Deep Condition Treatments and Scalp Treatments
If you are the type that loves head massages then this will be your new addiction. Going to a salon or getting some deep hair conditions you can do at home is sooo helpful in the summer time. If you are in the water a lot whether its in a pool, river, lake, or ocean, your hair will get nasty. Deep conditions and scalp treatments go in and refresh the hair allowing it to become moisturized and help the damaged cuticle. Now you definitely dont want to over kill your hair with this either. If you know you have super damaged hair I would recommend this twice a week with a home treatment. You can find these treatments almost anywhere such as Walmart, walgreens, ect. If you already have pretty healthy hair or virgin hair (Never been colored or lightened), I would recommend a treatment once a week to every two weeks. You dont want to over oil your scalp or you will have really bad greasy hair and nobody likes that. If you have thicker hair you dont want to do it as often as well.

3. Biotin
If you havent heard of this yet PLEASE JOIN THE CLUB. Biotin vitamins are just vitamins that enhance the production of oils in your scalp and will help your hair to grow faster and or make it thicker. There are many different types of biotin that you can buy and again its literally everywhere and is a decent price. I know there are many other hair vitamins you can buy and im sure they all work but this is the most common one used. You need to take it consistently and dont expect results in a week, vitamins enhance growth but dont speed the process up, over time you will notice a difference in your hair.

4. Monthly Hair Trim
Now for those of you who HATE cutting your hair I feel ya, its like the most dreadful thing because all that hard work goes to the ground, BUT this is actually one of the best things for your hair. Once you have dead ends on your hair their is no way to bring them back to life. No matter how many oils you put in your hair it will not help. Your hair will send all its oils to the dead ends because it too doesnt understand this fact. So if you go and get your hair trimmed, and I mean not even an inch every month your hair will grow faster and will look healthier because all the oils wont be trying to heal the dead ends. It is hard to do at first I know but honestly just by doing this I have seen a big difference in my hair.

5. Eating Healthy
Ok so I have to admit I really do suck at this tip a lot.... What you eat is literally what people will see on the outside, sadly its such a true fact. Even if you are a naturally small person you will notice other things then your weight that arent pretty. Your hair wont be shinny or pretty because you arent giving it the natural vitamins it needs. Soda, Sugar, Candy, Deadly hair foods. Your hair wont gain any nutrients and will st

op producing those nutrients. Try going on a cleansing diet and just drop soda from your habits and you will notice a small difference in your hair.

Everything ads up over time so I promise if you take the time to be healthy and set goals you will see the results in every way. Good Luck with your summer routines! Let me know how you keep your hair in check! Im always looking for new and great ways to improve my hair. :)

Wedding Talk! Engagements!

So for those who dont know I recently got engaged! So that is why I havent been blogging lately, been super busy planning and been on some crazy fun adventures that I cant wait to share with you guys. Since it is wedding season I thought I would post on some different wedding topics, changing the blog up for a bit. :P

Today I wanted to talk about engagements, the actual moment it happens, the posting frenzy after, and the pictures. Well I can tell ya ive heard of the craziness that takes place after it happens but I had no idea what was in store for me. So I wanna start by giving you a few tips on what to expect when that big moment happens to you, and some important do's and dont's.

Do's

1. Whether you know the big question is coming or not, ALWAYS be surprised or act surprised. Its a HUGE moment for that person to get down and ask so dont ruin it for them! Even if you catch a hint of whats going on always smile and make the moment as special as possible, you will never forget it.

2. (Optional) If you do have a hint that the question is coming soon, ALWAYS be prepared. You dont know if you will be on camera, if people will be around, and pictures will definitely be taken. I knew it was coming soon so I just made sure that I always looked cute and decent. You dont always have to be all fancy and dressed up.

3. If someone is there to take pictures, get as many as possible, its a moment you want to remember forever and the more pictures the longer the memory last.

Dont's

1. Dont immedietly start posting pictures of your engagement. A very special moment just happen with you and your future partner and you want to keep that moment special and not let the entire world in quite yet. Make the moment last, trust me you will be glad you did.

2. Dont hold back. If you are the on praposing your saying yes and you start to get emotional, dont hold back, let them see how you really are feeling and it makes the moment that much more special.

3.   Dont always focus on the ring. Yes I agree the ring is a big part of getting married but it is just a symbol to what you two hold. It is such an exciting thing but dont get caught up in the moment all about the ring. Remember the ring didnt ask you to marry it.

Posting to the world

Now that you have had that special moment you can post to the world BUT make sure to post only what you want the world to see. Some times we get caught up in the moment and want to post everything that just happened when some things could be personal. A good picture or two to post is a picture of the ring on your hand, and you two together as happy as ever. If there are people you dont want to see the announcement then you shouldn't post it all over social media. Remember you dont want creepers at your wedding.
The next few post I will be posting will be about engagement photos and planning. I would post most on here but I dont want to bore you all so to wrap it up heres a few pictures of my engagements and the ring!

Weekly Makeup Look!

Hey everyone so I decided to do a weekly makeup look today for you guys and it is inspired by the butterfly! I am huge into sugar or  makeup and painting different pictures, so I saw  a picture of a butterfly on Pinterest and realized that was what I wanted to do. Below I will put all the products used to create this look and where you can find those products. ALSO if you want to see what im doing in my daily life you can follow me on Instagram at B_WERNER_   I am working on posting more of what im up to and I am really going to be working on reaching out with all my cosmetics ideas ect.

So for these types of looks I like to get creative and use different cosmetic products and different eye shadows. I feel if you use them right you can create some of the most amazing pieces of art out there. This look is all eye shadow with just a touch of paint for outlining details. It took me about 20 mins so not really that long. When I am creating a look like this I usually dont know exactly what I am doing and I just add things as I go. More of a free art type of form for makeup. I love these sugar skull looks and will be posting more that I have done in the past but this is my most current one.

Summer Skin Care!!!

Ok everyone for some of you we are at the brink of my favorite season.... SUMMER! I love summer because it means warm weather, being out by the pool, lake, and river, and laying out to tan. I literally live out in the sun every summer but there are a few things I keep in mind to keep my skin looking healthy while still obtaining that great summer glow. So here are my summer skin tips to keep your skin healthy, and looking fantastic.

1. SUNSCREEN

Yes I know some of you hate this word, (I was one of those people once), but this stuff is actually a life saver! Now for those of you who burn easily this literally is your life year around; so you will understand me when I say it literally saves your skin from peeling off. For those of you who like to tan, you still can tan trust me you can but here are some things to know. Everyone needs some vitamin D in their life (the sun), but what we dont realize is that we also can get too much Vitamin D. Looking tan is my favorite thing in the summer but reaching for that tanning lotion is not always the brightest decision. Depending on where you live is a huge factor but the sun rays that hit your skin actually seep in and destroy your skin cells. How do you think you get tan? Your skin is burning and changing color. This isnt all that bad every once in awhile but all the time has some major long term affects. Being young your skin can rebuild itself but as time goes on your body starts to slow down causing the new skin to stop appearing. Soon wrinkles will appear, tans will turn into burn, and your skin will start to feel leathery. This is because your skin cannot repair itself anymore because the sun has destroyed those reproducing cells. Scary right?! So tanning lotion is ok every once in awhile but PLEASE make sure it has sunscreen in it. Dont let your beautiful skin go to waste.

2. Stay Away From Tanning Beds
You guys have probably heard this a 1000 times but I am speaking the truth, TANNING BEDS KILL. Yes it is a very good way to get tan fast but those UV rays you are laying on are literally frying your skin from the inside out. My parents used tanning beds a lot and invited me to go as well but I already tanned pretty easily so I stayed away and im glad I did. Not a month or two after that my father was told he had got a small patch of skin cancer on his face from the tanning beds. Being blessed it wasnt serious and was a very minor fix but could have been much worse. I never even attempted a tanning bed after that. They may make you look great in the moment but the future can be deadly, I promise.

3. Shaving and Exfoliating Weekly
Now you already should be doing this but now its time to kick it into gear. No one wants to see your harry legs at the pool ladies. Yes winter time pants has an exception but not in the summer time. Have you every tanned and then shaved that night and watched your tan be shaved off? Kinda weird right? All that work gone. Thats because shaving can also take that top dead layer of skin cells off that darkened from the sun eliminating your tan. So by shaving frequently and exfoliating often you will always have fresh skin and will notice your tan last longer and looks better too. It may seem like extra work but when you have a nice tan and baby smooth legs you wont be complaining.

4. MOISTURIZE

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! I cannot speak it enough! Dry legs are not attractive! By having dry legs you are also creating more dead skin and again will eliminate that summer tan. Your skin needs to be constantly nourished and by keeping it moisturized it will actually prevent wrinkles and aging skin longer! Who wouldnt want to look young forever?! So always moisturize and keep your skin healthy and happy.

5. Drink Water

This also goes along with moisturizing but always be drinking water. The sun will literally dry you out and moisturizer will only go so far on your skin. Keep your inner body healthy and our outer body will glow.

GIRL TALK! How To Survive Your Cycle!

Hey everyone so sorry it has been forever! Ive had a lot going on and have been super busy but I am back with some awesome post to blog about!

So today's post is about something us girls know and dread all to well. Mother natures lovely once a month present. For some of us it is spot on every month, others its every other month, and for some its one and off on occasion or not at all (I envy you people). But no matter when you have your period it just isn't fun. For me it can be 4 days of pain to 8 days of pain, so I have come up with some ideas and a kit to help me survive my long week.

While coming up with this kit I have had to learn a few things along the way, there are some little things that I didn't realize by doing makes me feel completely better while on my period, other things make my whole week worse. So one of the things that has worked for me is doing my makeup every day. I know its weird because usually we feel like crap and we just want to sit and sleep all day but if I get all ready in the morning I feel better and am more motivated to go on with my day. It lightens my mood, and actually makes me less sick. Crazy right? Another thing that helps me feel better is showering twice a day, yes this may be a lot for some of you but if you have a very heavy period like me two showers are expected. One of the last things I found that makes me feel really good and actually reduces my period is working out and running, keeping my body in motion and being active slows down and even ends my periods sooner easing the cramps and any other symptoms I might have. THIS IS AMAZING! Even if working out isnt your thing I would highly recommend doing some physical activity because it makes your life a whole lot more enjoyable.

So now enough rambling and lets get to the kit! So in this kit you will find some of the most basic needs for your week and some you wouldn't expect to find. All has helped my week go by faster and easier.

1. PADS
Now every girl I know who has periods will have some of these stashed away in their home, depending on your flow of periods will depend on what types of pads you have. For me my absolute favorite brand is U-Kotex Clean Wear. This brand I feel is very flexible and is great for being active or just lying around. It is always my Go-To for pads, not so much tampons though, that's just my personal opinion, but great product!

2. Tampons!!!
I cant seem to get enough of these around my house! Since I can have longer periods I survive off of these but there are some important things to know when using tampons. 1. They aren't for everyone. If you are just starting your period for the first time or the first year I wouldn't recommend them. They can be uncomfortable if not used right and lets be honest they are a bit scary at the thought of them. So if you are unsure then don't feel pushed to use them. I didn't for a while but because im so active I have found they are a blessing in my life. I would not be able to survive without them but there are time when even I cant use them. So just be careful and always read directions.

2. MIDOL
I am not one for taking medications but this stuff is MAGIC. It helps relieve cramps, can help you not be so hormonal, and even can help bloating. Who wouldn't want to take this!? Now if you are the type that doesn't get bad cramps or sickness then this probably isn't for you, so don't take it unless you need it. I only use it if I am having a really bad cycle or if I know I will be out with lots of people that day in town. Id rather not put everyone else in a bad mood just because I am in one... But I really like this stuff and I usually only use it twice or three times in the entire week so it last me awhile, but I would really recommend it if you are one with bad cramping and get stomach sickness.

3. Peppermint Doterra
For some this may be a surprise, others its a duh moment. If you get nauseated really easily or have sickness on your period just take a few drops of peppermint and rub it on the back of your neck and wrist before bed and throughout the day. This will actually stop the nausea and will help settle your stomach so you don't find yourself as sick during the week. Its VERY potent so use LIGHTLY.

4. Deodorant
Please Please Please! Always have this with you. Even if you don't have bad BO your period will change that for that time period. It is just an essential for your everyday life too but especially during your cycle. I keep mine in my purse with me and apply when needed and its just a life saver so I don't feel awkward and worry when im around people. I love using the Clear Gel Secret Scent brand. For those gel lovers this is the best, it doesn't stay sticky and dries very quickly without any white marks, I love it and go through it like crazy. There are tons of cents to choose from so pick something sweet to make your day. If you are not a gel fan they also have regular deodorant that is just as great as well.

5. Feminine Wash
Now my mother introduced me to this and some already know the importance of it but for those who don't ill share. When you are on your cycle it is sooo important to keep all those areas clean so you can prevent infection and a bunch of crazy things from happening. This wash is specifically for that and helps take away that nasty odor that comes with your period. Its hypoallergenic and is also for sensitive skin so is great for everyone. I love it and it makes me feel confident that I wont smell and worry about any embarrassing moments. There are also wipes and other products in that line for on the go use that I would highly recommend for everyone to use. It is also useful for the birds and bees but we don't need to get into any of that.. ANYWAYS I recommend everyone have this in your bathroom stored away until its that time of the month and it will be a life saver. I would only recommend using it for that week though because you don't want to over wash those areas and cause redness and irritation at the same time.

6. Electric Razor
Now I literally just discovered this so laugh as you might I can be slow some times but I bought this 8$ electric razor from Walmart and tested it out and its amazing! It works with or without water and is small enough to take on the go! I tend to have to shave more on my period, I don't understand why but I just do, so if you are the same then this is amazing. I use it after I have used my actual razor and it smooths out my skin and protects from ingrown hairs and I use it every day after that to continue to keep the smooth feeling. It can be used anywhere and its just great.

7. Snacks
The last final thing in this cycle survival kit is my snacks, I love peanut butter and when im on my period I cant get enough of it, so I buy these little mini packages with some apples or snack of my choice and whenever I need a quick snack I pull it out and eat it. Its great because it helps cravings and just makes me feel better then buying an entire meal and over eating my life away that week. I also tend to pack granola or some other healthy snacks to help me get through the week and keep me healthy.

Sorry this was a huge blog post but it is definitely something I feel helped me get through this rough week and for all you girls out there struggling with the same issues this might help as well. I will post a smaller blog about on the go period packs for those who are running around a lot, I just thought Id start with this big pack so you guys can have an idea of the most important stuff to stick with but more post are to come, thanks for being patient with my post guys! Please let me know about topics you want to hear about and tips and tricks or new ideas for me to look up! Thanks!
