So after the long drive we checked into our hotel in Woods Cross Salt Lake. We stayed at the Hampton Inn which I HIGHLY recommend! We really enjoyed our stay and I will go into more detail about the hotel in my next review post. So after getting to the hotel we rushed to get ready for the wedding shower and my nerves now kicked in. Why? I honestly dont know haha, I just didnt know what to expect really and my mom was meeting my fiances side of the family for the first time. Turns out the wedding shower was absolutely amazing and I love his family so much. We had such a great time with crazy games and fun pictures which I will also talk about in a Bridal Shower post later on. Ive learned how important it is to spend time with family, they really create the best atmosphere and teach you a lot about life. After a fun evening of gifts and laughs we headed back to the hotel to get some sleep before the next day.
Day 2 of the trip was definitely a rush. By rush I mean Lagoon rush, such a fun place! We expected it to be a bit busy because it was the first day of July but the longest line we actually waited in was like 20 min because it had a complication. So it was actually a really nice day to spend at Lagoon. We started the day off with their newest ride Cannibal. BEST RIDE THERE! Ill go into detail later but if you are a roller coaster junky its the ride for you. I took my fiance on the giant swing that you fly down from and he definitely faced two of his biggest fears but it was totally worth it. After 7 hours and one last go at Cannibal Duncan and I finished the day with a GIANT Funnel cake! Best thing ever made! After that we all headed in for the night completely exhausted but satisfied.
Day 3 Last day of our trip! We actually were going to end on day 2 but my little sister was a bit sick :( so we stayed an extra day so she could rest. We headed out and stopped at Temple Square in the heart of Salt Lake City to end the day. This was my favorite part of the trip. Seeing the Salt Lake Temple and all the neat places around it was Amazing! The history is awesome and is definitely a beautiful sight to see. Even if you arent LDS or dont know about the religion I would definitely recommend visiting here. Its history is fascinating and there is so much to see. If you are a history junky this will definitly be your happy place. I only got a short view today so I definitely want to go back and spend a few days there touring the entire area and showing you guys the beauty of it all. After this final stop we all packed up to head home. We met some friends half way from California and had frosty's and caught up on life. Before we knew it we were home and happy to sleep in our own beds. Such an amazing trip this weekend and ill definitely go into more detail about some of the hot spots in my next few post so dont leave me hanging yet.
Sorry for the longer post this time but I just couldnt leave you guys hanging without the fun details. I do have some more cosmetic tips coming up as well so you guys have a good mix of things to read! Stay Tuned!
