So before winter ends I figured I would tell you guys about some of my favorite winter skin products that I use. It can get very dry in the winter time and that is one of my biggest pet peeves. So I find it very important to stay moisturized and feel healthy like the summer time. I also am a fan of self tanning. I get naturally dark in the summer time but the winter is the complete opposite. So I prefer to self tan to keep that natural glow that I enjoy. So here are some of the products that I currently use for winter and some I use all the time.
1. Marula Oil Rare Oil Treatment
This oil is more on the expensive end of things and can currently only be bought with a cosmo or esthetic license, but if you can find a way to grab some I would recommend it. It is pointed more towards hair care and is used for some really good deep conditions but I also found that putting 1-2 drops on my hands every morning has made them super soft and less dried out. Too much will make you look oily and a little definitely goes a long way. Thought it is a little more expensive I would recommend it to those people with dry hands and to those who aren't a big fan of fragrances. This oil has the smallest hint of nut to it but does not really have a smell. Its great and last a long time.
2. PINK Sweet and Flirty Body Lotion
I actually received this lotion as a gift this Christmas and fell in love with it. It has more of a sweet pea smell to it, and normally I am not a fan of sweet pea but I found that I really love this lotion. It is a sparkle free lotion for those who don't enjoy sparkles and is a pretty hydrating lotion. I use it mostly after I have shaved or gotten out of the shower at night. It does take a few minutes to soak in like every lotion so I will usually wear shorts when I apply this lotion for fast drying. I really enjoy PINK lotion in general and the smell isn't to over powering. You can get this at the PINK Store with Victoria Secret and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple sweet smell.
3. Paris Pink Champagne & Tulips
I got this lotion from Bath and Body Works and I use it all the time. I tend to have a lot of fruity beach smells so this is a nice change every once in awhile and smells amazing! It has a tiny bit of shimmer to it and is a less thick consistency so it dries on the skin pretty quickly. I notice the fragrance last a little while so I will apply it right before I leave my house for a night out. I like how smooth this lotion is and I just love how pretty the bottle is! I mean half the time we see things we like its because the look of the product is great. Fun lotion to have and is a great cost but is seasonal so I would grab it while it last or order online.
4. Maui Mango Surf Ultra Shea Body Cream & Waikiki Beach Coconut Shea Vitamin E Body Lotion
Now I don't know about you guys but if I cant be in Hawaii I would at least love to smell like it! These two lotions are my favorite fruity smells. I love being able to feel and smell like im on the beach in the middle of cold winter. These two lotions I also bought at Bath and Body Works (Can you tell im there a lot :) ) Both smell exactly as they are named, the mango surf smells just like sweet mango's and reminds me of the waves and beach. The Coconut definitely smells like coconut with a sweet touch to it and isn't too over powering. I know coconut is a big must for lotion fans so go grab it while you can. These lotions are also seasonal so I recommend stocking up when you make your haul. Both lotions dry quickly and have a shiny finish and leave you feeling refreshed in Hawaii.
5. Neutrogena Micro Mist Airbrush Sunless Tan (3 Deep Tan)
So we all have that fear of orange tans, I have gotten spray tans and the fear is real! I realized spray tans don't last forever and I would like to apply at my house on my own time. So I started the search for a decent cheep self tanner. I found this and was nervous at first because it sprays clear and darkens over time. I realized after using it that the glow is amazing and it tans with your skin tone. I am more olive based and this tan appeared as a dark olive tan and I love it. I prefer to be pretty dark so I use the deep 3 but if you are just starting your search go with a 1 or 2 so you can see how the look will apply. The only down side was the smell, wasn't the best but it dries in 5 minutes and I don't feel sticky after using it. I love the way the spray goes on and I can get a full coverage without worrying. I like to apply more then one layer and build it over the course of a week for a deep tan but that's just my system. I will do a self tanner tutorial to show you guys what exactly I do. I would recommend this over tanning beds just for the safety of your skin. It is so important to take care of our bodies and we need to keep up with them constantly
