How to get High Priced Cosmetics for Low Deals

I know not everyone has the budget to always go and invest in high priced cosmetics and clothing but there are now ways we can fix that.
I have always been the girl to run the sales rack at clothing or cosmetic stores or ask what the monthly deals are. So when on my cosmetic searching I stumbled over PoshMark. Having heard of this website before I decided I should download it on my phone and check it out. What I found was amazing. You can find all your favorite brands for clothing, accessories, and cosmetics for half the price! People from all over that have products they didnt prefer or need to get rid of can post them for sale on this app. Its very simple easy and fun! I have found products from NYX to MAC for very affordable prices and in great condition. So for those of you who are wanting the high end brands without the expensive price brand, I would definitely recommend PoshMark.
Now not everything on PoshMark is brand new and unused so if you are looking for top of the line brand new products I would still recommend shopping at the products original stores, they are still fantastic and are great places to shop. So for all you shopaholics this is the place to start and save on your super deal finds. :)

DIY Makeup Brush Holders

My biggest problem I find when it comes to my cosmetics is what to store everything in. My makeup brushes in particular seem to be constantly moving around and disappearing before my eyes. So I decided to get creative. I needed to find something to hold them in that was low cost, but still cute and fun so I found myself in the dollar store craft isle. For 3$ I discovered how to make cute fun holders for my brushes and I saved my $$$ big time. So here's how I accomplished this...

1. The Supplies you will need is very simple and can be played with and moved around.

A glass vase (or more depending on your brush amount) to hold your brushes in, taller then your brushes by about and inch.

A Bag of pebbles, they can be any color or design or you could use fake diamonds, whatever fits your personality.

A bag of sand, also varying in color depending on what you like.

All your makeup brushes

2. Take the glass vase and see how much you want your makeup brushes to stick out of the top, this will show you how much rock/sand mix you will need in your vase

3. put your sand or rock into the vase in whatever design you would like

4. Place your brushes in the vase and complete your DIY Brush Holders!

February Glam Bag!!

Ok being a fan of makeup I can never get enough of it, but when it comes down to it $$$ doesnt grow on trees. So I needed a way of gaining makeup samples and products without spending lots of money. That was when I discovered IPSY. Michelle Phan an inspiring makeup artist and CEO of IPSY was the reason I have my passion for makeup. She really pushes the ideas of loving yourself and always being confident. She created IPSY in hopes of creating a place like youtube, except strickly makeup videos. She also created the Glam Bag. You create a profile on some products you like, and enter some info about yourself and with a small fee each month you will receive a glam bag with sample products of things you enjoy! My makeup collection definitely grew with this investment and I love the products I receive! This month's bag was based off of valentines so I knew there would be some sweet finds in it. I love the glam bags themselves because they are cute! I can keep them for storage or give them as gifts! If I ever am not interested in a product from the glam bag I will usually give it away or store it for later use so its a win win situation for everyone! I would highly recommend every cosmetic fan to invest in the Glam Bag. Its so fun and exciting to receive new products each month! So enough ranting lets get to the bag itself!

so I was super excited to open my glam bag up this month to find some amazing products.

1. THEORIE Argon Oil Ultimate Reform Hair Serum
I am always a fan of hair product steals when I see them and oils are my favorite, so when I saw this Argan Oil I got super excited. Its about the size of an essential oil and opens like one so a little definitely goes a long ways but I love it and use it every day now.

2. TreStique Baby Blush Stick in Bora Bora Coral
Now I have seen role on blushes before but have yet to tamper with them so I was excited to receive this. Its small which is great because I can take it anywhere and its a super pretty color. It doesnt come off very bright so you dont have to worry about putting on too much the first time you try it. It has a soft glow affect and puts a nice peach look on the face.

3. Model LipLacquer in Morocco
I LOVE THIS! This little lip gloss is amazing! It has a light peach tone to it so not too much color, has a sweet smell, and I really enjoy the consistency. I am a big fan of light peach colors or nudes so this is definitely a happy medium for me, and it goes with everything. Travel size is amazing though I will probably have to go buy regular size now. Over all I love it and I like the container its in because it wont leak in my purse!

4. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer
This is a cute little concealer that I have yet to try but I am looking forward to it. Its in a nice little case and it comes in three different shades light, neutral medium, tan, and deep. The product is very build able and it is waterproof! You never can go wrong there! Really excited to try this, Ive heard good things about it already so im not to worried about this find.

5. Ciate Mini Nail Lacquer in Hutch
Now I do paint my nails every once in awhile but I usually have them done at a salon because I am not the greatest nail designer out there.... But this color is very pretty and is definitely the "go to red" if you are one of those people. I like the small container and how potent it is. You dont need a lot of layers for coverage and it is quick to dry. I would recommend this too all my nail fanatic fans out there.

Date Night Outfits and Tips

So we all know the struggle to find that perfect date night outfit right? Or for a special day or birthday? The stress is a real thing! So tip number 1. for the outfit would be to try and figure out what type of clothing you are going to wear. Wouldnt want to show up in a dress when your going hiking right? 2. Find out if this is an evening date or a day date, then you will know to dress warm, or cool. Are you in doors or outdoors? These questions should help you get a good start on ideas, now you just need to add your own personality to top it off.

So here is what I wore on a valentines date this year. I wanted to be a bit girly but still have fun with the outfit and be comfortable. I wore a black fitted dress with some white converse, and dressed it up with some fun jewelry. This outfit was super fun because it was definitely girly and cute but also was super comfortable and I could dance around in it and just have fun. Its important to look good but to also be comfortable, no one wants to be putting themselves in pain and constantly fixing their clothes all night (Been there, not fun!).

So next time you are looking for an outfit for a date night take these tips into consideration, they might just help out a lot:). Remember to always have fun with it and be yourself. This is your time to shine and show off your beauty! I will list where I got my outfit and all my accessories below. :)

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL

The world we live in today can be pretty rough and degrading at times. I believe the world gives off lots of images of who we should be and hate who we are. We are all given bodies of different shapes and sizes because its who we are. Some of us are were given the gift of being naturally fit, others were the gift to sing, to have long hair, to be able to draw, to speak in front of people. We are all different and that's what makes each one of us BEAUTIFUL. For me yea I am small and short and I dont have long blonde hair and blue eyes like I want but I have beautiful brown eyes, my favorite purple hair, and an amazing smile and talent for makeup. I struggled for a long time about my passion and how it affected me and people around me. The day I decided to be who I love will always be the best day of my life. I started to express those things I didnt like about myself and I came to find that I loved myself. Yes If you want to be in shape or lose weight there is nothing wrong with that. Go for it! Make that your life changing goal, but as long as you love yourself you will always find happiness. NEVER let some one else tell you who you have to be because you are perfect the way you are and THAT is all that matters.

So smile and post a picture of yourself and say I AM BEAUTIFUL

Winter Skin Favorites:)

So before winter ends I figured I would tell you guys about some of my favorite winter skin products that I use. It can get very dry in the winter time and that is one of my biggest pet peeves. So I find it very important to stay moisturized and feel healthy like the summer time. I also am a fan of self tanning. I get naturally dark in the summer time but the winter is the complete opposite. So I prefer to self tan to keep that natural glow that I enjoy. So here are some of the products that I currently use for winter and some I use all the time.

1. Marula Oil Rare Oil Treatment
This oil is more on the expensive end of things and can currently only be bought with a cosmo or esthetic license, but if you can find a way to grab some I would recommend it. It is pointed more towards hair care and is used for some really good deep conditions but I also found that putting 1-2 drops on my hands every morning has made them super soft and less dried out. Too much will make you look oily and a little definitely goes a long way. Thought it is a little more expensive I would recommend it to those people with dry hands and to those who aren't a big fan of fragrances. This oil has the smallest hint of nut to it but does not really have a smell. Its great and last a long time.

2. PINK Sweet and Flirty Body Lotion

I actually received this lotion as a gift this Christmas and fell in love with it. It has more of a sweet pea smell to it, and normally I am not a fan of sweet pea but I found that I really love this lotion. It is a sparkle free lotion for those who don't enjoy sparkles and is a pretty hydrating lotion. I use it mostly after I have shaved or gotten out of the shower at night. It does take a few minutes to soak in like every lotion so I will usually wear shorts when I apply this lotion for fast drying. I really enjoy PINK lotion in general and the smell isn't to over powering. You can get this at the PINK Store with Victoria Secret and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple sweet smell.

3. Paris Pink Champagne & Tulips
I got this lotion from Bath and Body Works and I use it all the time. I tend to have a lot of fruity beach smells so this is a nice change every once in awhile and smells amazing! It has a tiny bit of shimmer to it and is a less thick consistency so it dries on the skin pretty quickly. I notice the fragrance last a little while so I will apply it right before I leave my house for a night out. I like how smooth this lotion is and I just love how pretty the bottle is! I mean half the time we see things we like its because the look of the product is great. Fun lotion to have and is a great cost but is seasonal so I would grab it while it last or order online.

4. Maui Mango Surf Ultra Shea Body Cream & Waikiki Beach Coconut Shea Vitamin E Body Lotion
Now I don't know about you guys but if I cant be in Hawaii I would at least love to smell like it! These two lotions are my favorite fruity smells. I love being able to feel and smell like im on the beach in the middle of cold winter. These two lotions I also bought at Bath and Body Works (Can you tell im there a lot :) ) Both smell exactly as they are named, the mango surf smells just like sweet mango's and reminds me of the waves and beach. The Coconut definitely smells like coconut with a sweet touch to it and isn't too over powering. I know coconut is a big must for lotion fans so go grab it while you can. These lotions are also seasonal so I recommend stocking up when you make your haul. Both lotions dry quickly and have a shiny finish and leave you feeling refreshed in Hawaii.

5. Neutrogena Micro Mist Airbrush Sunless Tan (3 Deep Tan)
So we all have that fear of orange tans, I have gotten spray tans and the fear is real! I realized spray tans don't last forever and I would like to apply at my house on my own time. So I started the search for a decent cheep self tanner. I found this and was nervous at first because it sprays clear and darkens over time. I realized after using it that the glow is amazing and it tans with your skin tone. I am more olive based and this tan appeared as a dark olive tan and I love it. I prefer to be pretty dark so I use the deep 3 but if you are just starting your search go with a 1 or 2 so you can see how the look will apply. The only down side was the smell, wasn't the best but it dries in 5 minutes and I don't feel sticky after using it. I love the way the spray goes on and I can get a full coverage without worrying. I like to apply more then one layer and build it over the course of a week for a deep tan but that's just my system. I will do a self tanner tutorial to show you guys what exactly I do. I would recommend this over tanning beds just for the safety of your skin. It is so important to take care of our bodies and we need to keep up with them constantly

Eye Color Vs Eye Shadow

So I was thinking about what topic I wanted to blog about next and a good idea came to me. I get a lot of questions from people asking me what eye shadows look good on their eyes. It all comes down to what color of eyes your have and if you mix the wrong colors you could end up looking more gray and sick then lively and beautiful. So here are the Do's and Dont's of Eye Color and Eye Shadows

1. Brown Eyes

A lot of people will say they wish they had blue eyes because brown is really neutral but in reality you can mix almost any colors with brown! Some of the best colors are light browns and deep browns depending on what shade of brown your eyes are. You can also mix some deep purples, blacks, reds, and even a liner of blue to make your eyes pop. Now the blue might be a scary thought and believe me I was scared to hear that too but a friend showed me that if you just do a blue streak where your eyeliner would be it wont be to much and your eyes will pop! Another really pretty color with brown eyes is gold, for a night out on the town or a party gold is the way to go. For a natural look light browns, cream, and even some light pinks and neutrals are good to go with. So to all my brown eyed people including myself, there are LOTS of options! :)

2. Blue Eyes
Oh do I love people with blue eyes! You guys have a stunning eye color but you must be careful! Too much of any color will scare away the beauty they carry. Because blue eyes already pop the features of a face sometimes a completely natural look is the way to go but if you are seeking some color, light browns and creams are the way to go. you could also do some greys with a hint of black if done right. Gold and silver are also a very pretty route to try if you are looking for a soft cool look. I wouldnt steer towards yellows, purples, reds, or other blues. These colors will wash out the eyes or make the appreance of you being tired. Crazy right? The littlest changes can make a worlds difference to your face.

3. Green Eyes
Now you gingers with green eyes or anyone else fortunate enough to have green eyes, you follow under the same rules as the blue eyed people do. Light browns, neutrals, and some deeper browns for events. You can even try some peachy eye shadows or red brown colors for a brighter look to your eyes. Again natural will already  make your face glow so you dont need a lot to stand out. :)

4. Gold Eyes
Now this may seem crazy but I have friends who have gold eyes, and no they are not vampires.... But you guys need to rock deep browns, reds, and blacks. You guys are king of the smokey eyes and can pull off some amazing eye contour. Dont be afraid to stand out because your eyes already speak for themselves.

   5. Black Eyes
For those who have eyes that are so dark they seem black it may be harder to make them pop. I would wear lighter browns, neutrals, and cream colors on the eyes. Maybe even a light sparkle or gold to help. This will bring out the lighter colors and will make your eyes a beautiful color:)

6. Color Changing Eyes
Yes I know there are you out there whos eyes change color on the daily, but this just leaves you with endless options! I wouldnt go for too many wild colors though, that might make the changing colors not seem so unique. More naturals and neutrals will be a big help for you guys:)
