Back with another blog post about what I've been up to! Lost has happened even in just the past two weeks so updating is a must right now...
I was so excited and grateful that I got to attend the IBS Hair Show in Vegas! That was literally a dream come true! There was so many things to see you like couldn't even take it all in. I think I looked like a little kid at christmas time honestly. It opened my eyes up to how much more there is in my industry then just school and the one product line you are taught to work with. I met tons of great people and even saw some of my favorite hair brand people show off their skills on stage! I only went for one day to get a good idea of what I want to look forward to in the next couple years of my industry but next year I plan on taking one on one classes and really diving into the entire experience.
Along with attending the hair show I finally finished school as well! I only have testing to do now and that is a bit stressful but I know I can fly through it. I am working for Mirabelle cosmetics now and I am so excited to join their team and be able to really share my passion with people in person! I am also going to be doing some salon work on the side and starting tomorrow I will be creating my own space so I will totally show you guys some pictures of my DIY room and how its coming along.
So while at the hair show I grabbed a palette I am super excited to show you guys and I also picked up a new foundation from Sephora that I wanted to talk to you guys about!
The first palette I picked up from the convection was the BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Contour Palette It comes with 6 shades, two of which are highlights and two that are more of a very light blush color. I have found playing with this palette that it is pretty pigmented but it doesnt bend the best. I feel like if you use a brush and rub it in the effect is barely there where as if you tap it on with a brush it shows up A LOT... Soo I'm still working on this product and seeing what is best. I do love the variety of colors it comes in because its very universal and you can pretty much use it on anyone and I have also found myself using some of the shades as eye shadows... oops...
As for the foundation I picked up I chose Makeup For Ever Professional Paris HD. It is medium coverage and I have found I like it but I'm also conflicted because I have been working with full coverage for quite some time so I'm just trying to adjust; but I do like that it blends well and I can't feel the foundation on my face. it does look like I've caked it on in too many layers. Th only other thing I'm not too fond of is the fact that it does take quite a bit to cover my face; again it may be because i haven't used the product enough yet but I'm working on it :).
Thats a pretty good update on whats been going on in my life lately, I will be posting some more makeup tips and tricks in the near future, I just need to get settled into some more job stuff but don't worry more fun stuff to come! If you guys have anything you want to see please email me or leave comments! I love to see what people are interested in and what they want to learn about. Thanks everyone for all your support!
